Make your Mental Health a Priority
Angelica Gray is a Licensed Certified Social Worker (LCSW) in Arkansas, a Licensed Independent Social Worker (LISW) in Ohio, and holds a Florida Telehealth Provider registration. She is the owner of The Gray Area Counseling, a solo private practice focused on providing compassionate, trauma-informed therapy for adults and teenagers.
Since entering the field in 2010, Angelica has worked in child protective services, mental health case management, school-based services, and private practice. Those experiences helped shape her practical, direct, and down-to-earth approach to therapy. She specializes in trauma, anxiety, depression, family conflict, work stress, and life transitions.
Angelica intentionally keeps her practice solo in order to provide a more personal and individualized experience for her clients. From scheduling to sessions, clients communicate directly with her throughout the therapy process rather than being passed between office staff, intake coordinators, or multiple providers. Maintaining a smaller practice also allows her to focus on building strong therapeutic relationships, responding personally to client needs, and creating a space that feels more private, consistent, and connected.
Angelica’s therapy style is best described as clinically grounded with a healthy amount of authenticity. She believes healing can happen without the session feeling stiff, robotic, or like a psychology textbook came to life.
She is known for creating an environment that feels professional while still being authentic, welcoming, and human. Her style combines clinical knowledge with honesty, warmth, and humor — because healing does not have to happen in a cold or overly formal space.
Angelica provides in-person therapy in Jonesboro, Arkansas, and Telehealth services in Arkansas, Ohio, and Florida through The Gray Area Counseling.
Gretchen Wieners is the four-legged “employee” of The Gray Area Counseling and takes her role as Telehealth supervisor very seriously — especially if snacks are involved.
As a black and silver dapple dachshund, Gretchen is known for surprise appearances during virtual sessions, dramatic naps in the background, and occasionally reminding clients that someone else in the house also believes they deserve attention. Over time, she has become a familiar and comforting face for many clients.
While Gretchen is not a licensed clinician (despite her confidence), she does help create a space that feels warm, relaxed, and human. Therapy can involve heavy conversations, and sometimes a tiny dachshund wandering across the screen at the perfect moment makes things feel just a little easier.
At The Gray Area Counseling, professionalism and authenticity can exist in the same space — and Gretchen is part of what makes that possible.
